Botanical Name Melaleuca Viridiflora.Niaouli Organic Essential Oil is a Concentrated Hydrophobic Liquid Containing Aroma Compounds from Plants. Niaouli Essential Oil is clear and has a earthy, musty, harsh smell. Blends with basil, cajeput, eucalyptus, fennel, juniper, lavender, lemon, lime, myrtle, orange, pine, and rosemary, Peppermint, Tea Tree and Thyme. Product Abstract: Niaouli Essential Oil comes from an evergreen tree with a flexible trunk, spongy bark, and pointed leaves with spikes of sessile flowers. Niaouli Essential Oil did not appear in Europe until the 17th century. Captain Cook gave it the botanical name while on route from Australia, though the French still sometimes refer to it as Gomenol. Cautions: Dilute before use; for external use only. May cause skin irritation in some individuals; a skin test is recommended prior to use. Contact with eyes should be avoided. The Niaouli oil is obtained from the dried leaves and twigs of the organically cultivated Niaouli trees through steam distillation.
It has slightly Sweet, Fresh Smell with color varying from Colorless to pale.
Niaouli oil helps to increases concentration and clears the head, while lifting the spirits. Since it has wonderfully antiseptic properties, it is most useful to fight infections such as colds, fevers, flu, chest infections, bronchitis, tuberculosis, pneumonia, whooping cough, asthma, sinusitis, sore throats, catarrh and laryngitis.
It furthermore is useful against enteritis, dysentery, intestinal parasites, cystitis and urinary infection and to relieve the pain of rheumatism and neuralgia.
As a disinfectant, niaouli oil is valuable for washing wounds to clear up ulcers, acne, blemishes, boils, burns, cuts, insect bites, as well as acting as a decongestant on oily skin.
